The fourth entry in the Planet of the Apes reboot series, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” is a forthcoming science fiction action movie from the United States that acts as a follow-up to “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017). Wes Ball is the director, and Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison wrote the screenplay. The producers are Joe Hartwick Jr., Jaffa, Silver, and Jason Reed.

In addition to Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy, Owen Teague plays the movie’s primary role. The narrative takes place several generations after the events of “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017), with humans having descended into a feral condition and ape civilizations emerging from the oasis to which Caesar led his fellow apes

Proximus Caesar, the ape leader at the center of the story, uses Caesar’s lessons to his advantage by enslaving other clans in an effort to find the final remnants of human technology. A young human named Mae and a common chimpanzee named Noa set out on a terrifying trip to decide what will happen to apes and humans in the future.

Development on a new Planet of the Apes film began in April 2019, following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, with Ball attached as writer and director that December. Much of the script was written during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, with casting commencing in June 2022, following the script’s completion. Principal photography began in October 2022 in Sydney and wrapped in February 2023.

On May 24, 2024, 20th Century Studios is going to release the movie in the United States. A fresh chapter in the post-apocalyptic story of the film is explored in the trailer.

As the movie has not yet been released, there are no critic or audience reviews available. However, given the success of the previous films in the franchise and the intriguing premise of this installment, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is eagerly anticipated by fans and critics alike. Based on a Pierre Boulle novel, the franchise has made over 1.7 billion at the global box office.

Basically, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” brings a thrilling new part to the famous Apes story.
